The Day Night Cafe

Since Matilde left for her meditation I have been wandering around Pokhara doing sight seeing and buying myself hot chocolate and goood food :) Bijay from the Day Night Cafe has taken me to see different things, so now I've been to the local market, into the Bat Cave (which was much smaller than I thought), the Mahendra Cave where I got a tika and a blessing from and old hindu and to Devi's Fall, a huge waterfall (though only during the monsoon) which we saw from inside a dangerous and exciting cave made by the water. I've enjoyed myself looking over the Phewa Tal and I have made myself known and friends with all the people who work in the Day Night Cafe, my favorite place here - I eat there at least once every day :) Tonight they're having a jazz-jam party, so I'm going to embarrass myself by singing something I don't really know - I'm looking very much forward to it :)
I've been enjoying myself, relaxing, talking to weird, interesting and funny people all day long and experienced what it is like to be locked out of the lodge because I came home too late - don't worry I didn't sleep on the street! I've been having fun and laughing my head off with all these nice people :)

  1. Wow a lot have happen since I last was in here. Sadly it has been more than a month since I last checked upon your blog, but it seems like you are having a grand trip. It is exiting to hear what you have experienced, and damn… you went paragliding!! That must have been awesome, my stomach would never have survived that - in fact I would rather been thrown off a cliff than willingly participate in paragliding… well that makes for a bad example.
I am amazed how well adapted you seems to have become to the nation and its people already. Same goes to your teaching of the Nepalese children it can’t be easy to keep such a cool mind all along. I am sad to hear your recordings are gone, but I am sure that with your pictures and your vivid way of expression it will be just as good for describing your trip… but if the opportunity arise you ought to kill that man.

    Happy adventuring

  2. Hehe, things happen when you look away for too long ;)
Your example is actually very nice (?) though I myself prefer to be protected from the fall by a parachute or something like it ;) Actually I feel the exact same way, but I just thought that I had to try this (then I'll never have to do it agaain ;)) and I just had the possibility of the best view here... You should try it you know, I'll help you over the cliff ;)
As for the teaching I didn't have a cool mind at all - it's just easy to pretend to be cool here, because I wrote it a long time after... My temper got in the way more than once during the stay and thats why Matilde was an exceptional good companion :) But thanks, you learn things when you throw yourself out like that :)
As for your last remark I have already planned how to torture him slowly for a few days before actually killing him. Suggestions are welcome :)
    Thankyou -
